No running yesterday or today - the start of a cold I'm trying to squash before it gets established. Fingers crossed tomorrow morning is better! I'm hanging out for one last run down the beach and boardwalk here before we head north again. Also need to hit the mountain bike course a bit more before we head off.

Lunch with friends for the Father In Laws Birthday at Taylors. On arrival I found Seafood Chowder on the menu! A seasonal favourite that I first fell in love with whilst living in the US - Taylors version was yummy, but a bit too creamy and lacking in chunks of veggies. The coconut lime barramundi looked fantastic as well. Matt of course went the fishermans basket.

Sunday!

Sunday - woo hoo!

A great hours walk and play on the beach and boardwalk with Matt and Wrex. A bit of bumming around and plenty of paperwork. Followed by a 1hour run of around 8km in length. Actually felt pretty good once I got out there - had really thought I was going to hit the wall as I hadn't eaten since an early lunch (so four and half hours prior), and had low blood sugar when we headed out the door.

Back running again

It was one of those mornings - the alarm went off, I was awake, and actually felt like running! No sleepy eyes, dragging legs or debate on whether it was too cold. Within moments I was up, changed and grabbing the ipod to head out the door!
Didn't take a watch or GPS, so approximate distance would have been 8km in 45 minutes. Got home, had breaky, grabbed the dog and husband and went for wrex's morning walk down the beach. Work flowed, things got done, meetings went well (to the point where we got out early enough to hit the local coffee shop before closing time - 3pm being the coast!).

Now to back it up again tomorrow!

We're up on my Aunt's farm. I've spent the last few days clearing out an old veggie patch that had become entirely overgrown. it would be around 20m x20m in size, and given the climatic and soil conditions in this area - there was stuff everywhere! Even the tomatoes and basil had gone wild, along with farmers friend - a noxious weed that has seeds that stick to anything and everything. Veggie seeds have arrived, been planted in starter kits, in a fantastic nut husk mulch. Hopefully I'll be able to plant them out in around two - three weeks time.

On a personal front - it's been decided that I start looking for work in Coffs Harbour. Not sure what will come up - fingers crossed something! Job applications are such a soul destroying process!

So managed a 9km run this morning, major headache late today. Not sure if there's a link - will be testing that over the next few days, with the aim to repeat this mornings performance, building up to around 15km.

Still absolutely zip idea on what I want to do. Not sure why but really hitting a dead end on this one, I think there's just too many opportunities out there!
